Excelit Adjustable Dumbbell to Barbell Set

The Excelit Adjustable Dumbbell to Barbell Set replaces a rack of fixed weights with one kit that changes as your training does. Used as a pair of dumbbells it runs from about 5.5lbs to 22lbs per hand. Add the 40cm connecting rod and the same plates become a barbell topping out at 44lbs, which opens up rows, presses, and squats that dumbbells alone do not cover as well.

The plate selection is what makes the progression workable. You get four each of the 4.4lb, 3.3lb, and 2.75lb plates, so you can move up in small steps rather than jumping straight to the next big increment. That matters most on pressing movements, where a large jump often means failing the set. The handles have a non-slip finish and the connecting rod is sleeved in sponge to keep your grip secure when your hands get sweaty.

The whole set packs into roughly 15.7 by 37.4 by 41.3 inches, so it stores in a closet or under a bed rather than claiming a corner of a room. Check that the collars are fully tightened before every set, lift on a clear floor away from furniture, and use a spotter or a lighter weight when trying a new movement. Warm up first, and speak with a doctor before starting resistance training if you have a heart condition or a previous injury.
